IV Drip Therapy

IV Drip Therapy, also known as intravenous therapy, is the administration of delivering nutrients and hydration directly into the bloodstream for immediate absorption and use by the body.

IV Therapy is the fastest way to deliver nutrients throughout the body as it bypasses the digestive system and goes directly into the organs, resulting in a 90-100% absorption rate (as opposed to only 20-50% possible orally).

How does it work?

An IV Drip is a type of intravenous treatment that is slowly infused into the bloodstream via a plastic catheter inserted into the vein. To administer an IV Drip, a small plastic tube (catheter) is inserted into a vein using a needle that is then quickly removed once the plastic tube is advanced into the vein.

IV Drips are performed for 45-60 minutes and an average of 250-1000 ml of fluids are injected per session.

During a drip, clients can read, work or relax.

Is IV Therapy Safe?

Today, the administration of intravenous fluids via IV infusion is common and generally safe, but it is possible to have too much of a good thing, which can increase the risk of adverse effects.

If you have any medical condition, it is always advised to consult with your doctor prior to treatment to avoid any complications.

Also, because of the puncture of your skin – there’s a risk of infection. Although the risk of skin or blood infection is unlikely, it’s important to only consult with a qualified medical professional, who ensures a safe and healthy vitamin infusion.

Overall, side effects from an IV drip are generally non-existent or very mild. On occasion, you may experience some discomfort, bruising, itching, inflammation, or redness at or around the site of injection, and this could last from a few minutes to several days. However, true allergic reactions are extremely rare.

Essential Points to Consider When Planning an IV Therapy:

  • The practitioner will explain what’s being done to you and you should never feel hurried to take any decision.

  • If you have a particular medical condition, then it is advised to talk with your primary care doctor to see if IV Drip Therapy is right for you.

  • Always make sure that the doctor you’re receiving IV Drip Therapy from is certified and is aware of all your health conditions and concerns.

  • The practitioner will ask about your medical history, medications and allergies – and either reject or appoint you.

Details of the Highlighted Ingredients:

Vitamin C

Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin. Unlike most mammals and other animals, humans do not have the ability to make their own vitamin C. Therefore, we must obtain vitamin C through our diet. Vitamin C is required for the synthesis of collagen, an important structural component of blood vessels, tendons, ligaments, and bone. Vitamin C also plays an important role in the synthesis of Neurotransmitters, which are critical for brain function. In addition, vitamin C is involved in the process of transporting fat into cellular organelles called mitochondria, where the fat is converted to energy. Vitamin C is also a highly effective antioxidant and in small amounts can effectively protect important cells from free radical damage.

Tri Amino (Amino Acids)

Tri Amino contains the essential amino acids Ornithine, Arginine, and Citrulline, which are known for producing antioxidant effects and increasing protein synthesis. Tri Amino can decrease blood pressure, increase vasodilation (widening of blood vessels), increase the synthesis of nitric oxide, improve cardiovascular health as well as improve erectile function. The use of this supplement also promotes wound healing and improves kidney function/disease. It is known to enhance the release of key hormones, such as Human Growth Hormone, and reduce exercise-induced accumulation of plasma lactate and ammonia which is essential for the urea cycle.

Calcium Gluconate

Calcium is a mineral supplement that plays a role in many of your body’s essential functions. Your body does not produce calcium and depends on your diet intake and supplements to get its supply. Lack of calcium can lead to health problems such as osteoporosis. Your body needs calcium to help circulate blood, move muscles, and release hormones. Calcium also helps carry messages from your brain to other parts of your body.

L-Carnitine

Carnitine is a nutrient that helps the body turn fat into energy, elevating certain enzymes that are needed by the body to effectively metabolize sugars, starches, and other carbohydrates. Anyone who exercises can benefit from Carnitine supplementation because it reduces the accumulation of lactic acid, which during training, is responsible for the burn felt inside the muscles.

B-Complex

The B vitamins are a group of water-soluble vitamins that play important roles in cell metabolism. B vitamins are an important part of the diet and are essential to prevent many health problems. They are essential for growth, development, and a variety of other bodily functions. They play a major role in the activities of enzymes, proteins that regulate chemical reactions in the body, which are important in turning food into energy and other needed substances. B vitamins are found in plant and animal food sources.

Methylcobalamin (B12)

The natural form of B12 is better absorbed than Cyanobalamin and has been used to treat pernicious anemia and diabetic and peripheral neuropathy. Vitamin B12 is an essential component for proper digestion, absorption of foods, and for normal metabolism of carbohydrates and fat. It aids in maintaining healthy nerve cells and red blood cells and is needed to make DNA. Vitamin B12 is also involved in homocysteine metabolism and plays a critical role in proper energy metabolism, immune function, and nerve function.

Pyridoxine (B6)

Pyridoxine, Vitamin B6, is one of eight B vitamins frequently referred to as the complex vitamins. All the B vitamins help the body convert food(carbohydrates) into fuel glucose which is then “burned” to produce energy and also help the body metabolize fats and protein. Because B vitamins are water soluble, the body does not store them. Therefore, they have to be replaced frequently, especially when the body is under any type of stress, physical and emotional. Even exercise depletes B vitamins in our system. B6 is essential for normal brain development and function and helps the body produce the hormones serotonin, dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine as well as melatonin.

Glutathione

Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant containing the amino acid cysteine, which is needed for cellular production of energy and proper immune function. It helps remove free radicals from blood and cells before they can cause oxidative damage. Glutathione also aids in the neutralization of toxins in the liver.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (aka Thioctic acid or ALA)

Alpha Lipoic Acid has a wide range of properties and performs important functions for the body, namely its ability to help metabolize sugar in the muscles, nourish the liver, and eliminate toxins in the liver. Removes waste from the body and helps restore the basic structure of the skin. It has the effect of enhancing the effectiveness of skin care substances such as glutathione. Vitamin C and vitamin E make the skin stronger and healthier. Reduce inflammation of acne, reduce blemishes, freckles, dark spots. Replenishes collagen to skin cells and also neutralizes high free radicals. It makes the skin look healthier and brighter. Alpha-lipoic acid also binds to heavy metals in the body and helps carry them out of the cells

Laennec

Laennec is a unique immunomodulating agent based on a highly purified human placenta. It is known as a powerful beneficial effect on the liver, promoting complex rejuvenation and restoration of the body at the cellular level as well.

Laennec acts as a real “life elixir”, it normalizes physiological mechanisms and functions of the body, having the properties of antioxidative protection and restoration of metabolic processes in tissues, increases general immunity, effectively heals the body in a natural way.

Magnesium Chloride

Magnesium plays an important role in many of the body’s enzymatic reactions and plays an important role in neurochemical transmission and muscle contraction and relaxation and therefore has been used successfully for seizures and other muscle related problems. Magnesium acts on the vascular system to produce vasodilation – the relaxation of blood vessel walls increasing blood flow, which can help with lowering blood pressure and also preventing and treating migraine headaches.
